Most people do not realize how much they have lowered their expectations for primary care, until they experience something better. Direct Primary Care is not a new idea. It is how primary care was always meant to work.

DPC is a membership that gives you direct, unhurried access to your own doctor for a flat monthly fee.
You pay a simple monthly membership fee: no copays, no insurance billing, no surprise charges. In return, you get unlimited access to your doctor.
You pay one predictable fee. It covers the primary care services your membership includes.
Visits last as long as they need to, not as long as a billing code allows. No being told you can only address one or two things.
Prompt appointments, with a goal of same-day or next-day visits, and direct messaging with your own doctor. Real responses, not a portal black hole.
No rotating providers and no starting over. Your doctor knows your name, your history, and what matters to you.
You notice something off. You message your doctor directly, with no phone tree and no portal that takes three days to respond. Often by afternoon, you have an answer. If you need to be seen, our goal is to connect by video the same or next day.
Your doctor already knows your history, remembers what you talked about last time, and has time to think through what is going on with you. That is not a fantasy. That is what membership looks like. Have you ever taken a half day off work just to be seen for 10 minutes? Here, that time is yours again.
a day to deliver basic guideline-recommended care to a standard patient panel.
In traditional primary care, your doctor sees 20 to 25 patients a day, booked back to back, managing a panel of hundreds or thousands. Patients and doctors pay the price.
At VillageCare, that changes. With an intentionally small panel and no administrative pressure dictating the agenda, your doctor can focus on you. And in DPC, your doctor's incentive is to keep you healthy, not to bill for more visits. When you thrive, the practice thrives.

No. Insurance pays for care. DPC is care. Your monthly membership covers your relationship with me: visits, messaging, and ongoing primary care. It doesn’t cover hospital stays, specialists, or emergencies. Those are what insurance is for.
I don’t require you to have insurance, and I won’t bill it if you do. I do advise keeping coverage for emergencies, hospitalizations, and specialist visits, which is what insurance is for. Think of insurance as your safety net, and of me as the doctor who helps you use it wisely.
I’ll order and coordinate it. I can get you discounted cash prices on labs and imaging, refer you to specialists I trust, and stay involved so nothing falls through the cracks. For emergencies, go to the ER. Then I’ll help with follow-up and next steps. If you choose to use your insurance for labs or medications, the lab or pharmacy bills your insurance, not me.
Often it’s not. My pricing is fixed and transparent, so you know your costs upfront. Cash prices for labs, imaging, and some specialist visits are frequently lower than what you’d pay through insurance after your deductible. Part of my job is finding you the most affordable route. No. Not taking insurance keeps my overhead low and my panel intentionally small. That means more time with each patient and care decisions made between you and me, not a billing department.
You pay one flat monthly membership fee, charged automatically once a month. There are no copays, visit fees, or surprise bills. Lab, imaging, and medication costs are separate, and I’ll always tell you the price before you commit to anything.
